Coda is the first platform besides Airtable to receive first-class support 🎉
Why Coda?
Coda, like Notion, revolves around documents, but it stands out for its unique approach to customization and automation using formulas and Coda Packs.
The current browser extension for Coda is fairly basic, primarily focused on saving bookmarks. Powersave has the potential to fill this gap with more robust features.
Setting up a Coda destination is simple: just insert an API key, select a doc, and choose a table. That’s it!
Powersave supports most Coda column types, including:
- Text
- Date
- Number
- Checkbox
- URL
- Email
- Currency
- Percent
- Scale
- Date/Time
- Duration
Linking to other Coda tables or supporting select columns is not currently possible due to limitations in the Coda API. However, this may change in the future with UX adjustments or new workarounds.
The Coda destination includes two tabs: Save one and Save many. The Update tab is not yet available due to API constraints but may be introduced later in a simplified form—potentially requiring explicit record selection instead of automatic matching to the currently visited page.
With the release of Coda destination, the foundation of Powersave has been once again improved and it will be even easier to add support to other destinations. I'll be experimenting with integrating other platforms soon and I'll follow with those that technically fit the most. It might be Notion, Obsidian, Asana or perhaps Capacities.
Cheers 🙌
